The Blue Note at Sea Experience Starts with Amazing Headliners

Blue Note at Sea Lineup

Though the picture of the Blue Note at Sea Experience takes time to develop, we can tell you now about the amazing lineup and music that will be part of this cruise. With so much music being planned, we will present the performance schedule in sections.

Today, we start with our main stage shows. Each night, we present two main shows, one for those who dine before seeing a show and one for those who dine after seeing a show. The musicians perform two shows each night, so all guests will see the same presentation each night.

The lineup of nightly shows is spectacular. Each night features a performer who would be a headliner for almost any festival or program. In the first six nights of the cruise, our Main Shows will present the following:

  • Robert Glasper Trio (Vicente Archer & Damion Reid)
  • Sheila E.
  • Christian McBride’s Inside Straight
  • Brad Mehldau & Cecile McLorin Salvant
  • Marcus Miller, with Special Guests
  • Chris Botti

Each performer is a category killer, yet it is impossible to place them into one, two or even three categories. The only commonality is excellence.

For those who are asking what about the 7th night? Well, that is a truly special occasion. On that night headliners, featured performers and band members will collectively present a musical tribute to the History of Jazz. Hosted by Marcus Miller, this event traces the evolution of jazz by selecting tunes that epitomize the various phases of our beloved genre.

The tunes are presented in an “all star” fashion utilizing nearly every musician on the ship. Remember when we told you that the Blue Note at Sea Experience was amazing and unique? Well, this is what we were talking about…truly one-of-a-kind experiences you won’t find on land.

Yes, there will be many more mosaic pieces needed before our picture is complete, but certainly the quality of the headliners featured in the Main Shows will be one mosaic element that will “pop!”
