Meeting Time at Onboard Location: 7:30 pm
Shelley Lindgren has captured the soul of Italy at A16, named for the Italian highway that runs from Naples to Puglia. She is so famous for her knowledge of Southern Italian wines that she was knighted by the Italian government. Two years ago she wrote a definitive book entitled “Italian Wine: The History, Regions, and Grapes of an Iconic Wine Country” and her restaurant also won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Program. The menu and wine selections will be finalized closer to the event but we will twist her arm to include at least one of her own Tansy wines and a slice of their authentic Neapolitan pizza. While Shelley knows more about wine than just about anyone else, she’s never pretentious or too serious, and she knows how to throw a party. This dinner will take place in A16’s beautiful new restaurant, Lucania, which is scheduled to open in August, and is located in the famous San Francisco Ferry Building, just a short distance from the ship.
Roundtrip transportation to/from the ship is provided for this culinary excursion.
