This tour takes you from San Francisco to the northernmost tip of Napa Valley that more than lives up to its motto of “hot springs, cool wine and a warm welcome”.
Welcome to Sterling Vineyards. The winery itself is an architectural icon in Napa Valley, perched 300 feet above the historic town of Calistoga. Modeled after the beautiful white stucco buildings on the Greek island of Mykonos, it stands out dramatically against the rugged Mayacamas and Vaca Mountain ranges that flank each side of Napa Valley. It is the only winery in the world with an aerial gondola. As you alight the tram with welcome drink in hand, you will be taken on a scenic tour of the winery. We have reserved the newly redesigned St. Dunstan Room for your premier tasting experience of Sterling’s premier wines, a selection of their Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
About Sterling Vineyards
Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 by Oxford graduate and successful businessman Peter Newton. As one of only 27 bonded wineries in Napa Valley at the time, Sterling Vineyards was an early pioneer of crafting Bordeaux-inspired red wines in California and helped transform the region into the premier winemaking appellation we know today. In 1969, Sterling Vineyards bottled the first vintage-dated Merlot in California. This was also the winery’s first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
Frank Family Vineyards

The Miller House which overlooks sprawling vineyards and mountain views, is the vision of Founder, Leslie Miller Frank, who married Rich Frank on the exact site where the new structure now stands. Leslie was inspired to create a space to host the winery’s most elevated and exclusive experiences.
We were equally inspired to reserve this beautiful space for your visit. This experience will include a three-course lunch serving paired with a selection of Frank Family current release wines.

About Etude Winery
Tucked away in the far northwest corner of the esteemed Carneros appellation is a rambling tract of grazing land that is bisected by the Rodgers Creek Fault Line at the southern toe of Sonoma Mountain. Unlike customary Carneros acreage, which is largely uplifted by bottoms with soils composed of clay, the soils on the Etude Estate site are variations of volcanic origin. They are well drained, rocky upland soils. Combining these soils with the extreme western location closer to the Pacific Ocean makes this site a decidedly distinct destination (if not entirely atypical for Carneros). Etude believes sustainable farming results in better, higher quality wine, and ensures the viability of their estate for generations to come. Known for their flagship Heirloom Pinot Noir to their small-lot Napa Valley Cabernet and customer favorite Pinot Gris, Etude has been crafting award-winning wines for 35 years.

San Franciscans line up around the block to buy the pastries from this bakery in the Ferry Building that opened a year ago. The reason: You won’t find better or more unique creations anywhere. Chocolate croissants forego the traditional shape and are formed into a cube for even distribution of the rich filling. More than 100 layers of laminated pastry hold the surprise of passion fruit. Each shape and taste is unique. Owner Alex Hong, who also is the chef behind the Michelin-starred Sorrel also opened Arquet last year, the wildly popular restaurant behind the bakery. For our brunch, Hong and his crew will augment the pastries with omelets and others breakfast items, served in the handsome Arquet dining room with its magnificent views of the Bay.

SAN FRANCISCO: Culinary Tour – Lunch at Scoma’s (MONDAY)
COMING SOON!
Reference #: 9.21-LUNCH2Monday, September 21, 2026TBD$TBDMax Guest Capacity: TBD
Opened in 1965 this third-generation family restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf is the place to go for classic San Francisco seafood. It’s so fresh in fact that the restaurant sits on its own pier where chef Gordon Drysdale and his crew receive the daily catch from local fishermen. Hope that the local Petrale sole is on the menu and if you’ve wondering about the classic San Francisco cioppinio, Scoma’s is the place to get it. While the restaurant is proudly old school, it’s not boring. Diners can enjoy dungeness crab deviled eggs, oysters on the half shell, truffled scallops on mashed potatoes or wild local snapper in Meyer lemon butter to name a few of the dishes that might show up on the multi-course menu prepared for Botti at Sea guests.
